TITLE: Job Description and Qualification for the Next AIR Executive
     Director

On behalf of the AIR Board of Directors and the Executive Director
Search Committee, it is my pleasure to announce the official
posting of the job description and qualifications for the next AIR
Executive Director.  As you may know, our current Executive
Director, Terry Russell, announced his retirement effective
January of 2008.  During the past year-and-a-half the Executive
Board has been planning for the transition to a new Executive
Director.  An Executive Director Transition Task Force was created
and provided guidance to the Board.  The Board acted upon the
recommendations of this Task Force and created a Search Committee
and hired Korn/Ferry International to assist in the search.  The
job description and qualifications are at

publications and newsletters.  Please forward this information to
any interested candidates and follow the instructions on the
posting to either nominate or apply for this position.

During the next several months as the search process continues, I
will provide updates on the progress of the search to the
membership.
